    1 (27F) am getting married in two weeks. My sister "Lily" (25F) is five months pregnant and thrilled, great for her. She asked if she could do her gender reveal at my wedding reception.
  • She said it would be "so special to share both milestones as a family." I said no, the wedding is about my fiancé and me, not her baby. I suggested she do it the next day at brunch when everyone's still around.
  • She pouted and said I was making everything about me. My mom sided with her, saying it'd "only take a few minutes."
  • I said that's exactly the problem, it's my few minutes. I don't want confetti cannons or colored cupcakes hijacking my reception.
